Jamie Scott is an award-winning chef known for creating refined, memorable dining experiences rooted in seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Originally from Arbroath, he spent six years developing his craft before moving to St Andrews, where he became Head Chef at Rocca and went on to win BBC MasterChef: The Professionals in 2014.
Following his success, Jamie hosted a series of pop-ups, collaborated with leading chefs, and appeared at food festivals across Scotland. In 2016, he and his wife Kelly opened The Newport Restaurant, a celebrated riverside restaurant that earned 3 AA Rosettes in 2023 & AA Restaurant of the year 2018. Becoming known for its innovative tasting menus and stunning views over the River Tay.
Jamie later expanded his ventures to include The Newport Bakery, Sandbanks Brasserie, and Dockyard Street Food, building a strong reputation for quality and creativity across multiple concepts.
Now focusing on private dining, Jamie brings his wealth of experience directly into clients’ homes, offering bespoke menus and a highly personal service. His cooking is defined by precision, creativity, and a genuine passion for bringing people together through exceptional food. Jamie works closely with local producers, bringing together exceptional seasonal produce throughout the year.
